Well, the road trip to the Billetproof car show was a very cool experience. I made sure the battery for the camera was fully charged and the car gassed up and the GPS programmed. It wasn’t a very long drive and the weather was quite nice for show day. \u00a0I put on my comfortable walking shoes and made sure to cover up with sunscreen, because we all know the sun is unforgiving, and started to walk. And did I walk! There were so many cool cars to see. It’s a good thing it was an all day show. The music was good, and the people were nice to talk to. Speaking of talking to people, I got to meet “Big Daddy” himself, Don Garlits.\u00a0\""Big<\/p>\n

Of course it was in his backyard so I figured there was probably going to be a pretty good chance of seeing him there. I also\u00a0should\u00a0have taken more pics of the pinup girls in the contest, but by then I was feeling pretty drained from a long day. Still, I\u00a0have plenty of pics of all the cars. Too many to upload here, but I do have quite a few to see if you want to click on over to this online album<\/a><\/strong>. Hope you like them as much as I did. I’m already making plans to go next year and I think I’ll be taking My ’55 Chevy Bel Air with me!<\/p>\n
