I decided to take advantage of the time without my 55 Chevy at home and work on some cosmetic things. I finally got one of the Bel Air trunk emblems/handles from a friend and it was in pretty decent shape (no pits in the chrome) but the plastic emblem inside was a bit faded. So, instead of paying $30 or so for a new one, I decided to spend $2 for a couple bottles of model paint and paint it back into shape. As you can see from the before and after pics below, it turned out pretty nice, if I say so myself. It’s not show quality, but then I’m aiming for driver quality for now.
Down the road, who knows?…..
